Nothing beats a weekend by the shore, enjoying the incredible hospitality of an American small town, taking the bike around a beautifully scenic course, and enjoying the company of new and familiar faces. The folks in Dover Delaware couldn’t agree more! One of the most celebrated East Coast Cycling events, The Amish County Bike Tour, is rolling back into town with the opportunity for all to experience the panoramic countryside and non-commercialized Amish farms of Delaware, all while biking with family and friends.

The highly anticipated event will be celebrating its 29th year on September 12th in Dover, where cyclists from all over the area may come for what may only be described as the ride of a lifetime. The bike tour offers incredible routes for any level of cyclist, including distances of 15, 25, 50, 62, and 100 miles. All courses offer chances to stop in for a slice of locally-baked pies served at the Amish Schoolhouse, or save room for the fully-catered barbecue meal served at the finish.

All participants are invited to enjoy “Small Town America” where museums, boutiques, and restaurants are all around to provide an incredible experience unlike anywhere else. After your memorable ride, stop in for a guided historic tour or a little fun at one of the many local casinos. Local restaurants, including Coolspring Fish Bar and Abbott’s Grill, will be ready to serve cyclists and their hungry cheer squads. Presented by Kent County Tourism, Delaware’s Amish County Bike Tour is now officially open for registration and is inviting you to plan your most exciting trip yet!
