Trade Secrets Extraordinary Garden Tour

Sunday, May 15th, marks the 2016 Trade Secrets Garden Tour, returning with its legions of gardeners (along with Martha Stewart) to the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut. You may have heard of this exciting outdoor event, better known as ” the northeast’s garden event of the year”, and their incredible mission to raise funds and awareness for Women’s Support Services  The weekend doesn’t only include the tours on Sunday, but a lineup of great happenings on Saturday as well!

Saturday, May 14th, come enjoy Trade Secrets Rare Plant and Garden Antiques Sale! Special book signings will also be held on the grounds of Lion Rock Farm on Saturday to celebrate the release of recently published gardening books, such as:

  • “Outstanding American Gardens; A Celebration – 25 Years of the Garden Conservancy” edited by Page Dickey
  • “At Home in the Garden” by Carolyne Roehm
  • “The Art of Gardening: Design Inspiration and Innovative Planting Techniques” from Chanticleer

Four renowned Litchfield Connecticut gardens can be toured during Sunday’s event, including the signature garden of Trade Secrets founder, Bunny Williams and husband, John Roselli. The tours will also include Carolyne Roehm’s “Weatherstone”; Pat and Judy Murphy’s “Old Farm Nursery”; and the rarely viewed home garden of Michael Trapp. Weekend vendors include:

  • The Sugarplum Antiques from Wilmot, NH
  • Eastern Plants from Bath, ME
  • Ashfield Tools from Ashfield, MA
  • Churchill Building LLC from Lakeville, CT
