One of the best preserved African American schoolhouses in the country, the one-room schoolhouse occupies its original site and has not been significantly altered. Circa 1890-1944. Group tours available by advance arrangement: 301-994-1471.

One of the four museums and historic sites operated by the St. Mary’s County Museum Division. The St. Mary’s County Museum Division is a division of the St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation and Parks and St. Mary’s County Government.
