Instead of letting your kids play with tiny versions of construction equipment, why not let them operate real machinery?
Diggerland USA gives kids the opportunity to get down and dirty with excavators, tractors, dump trucks, steer loaders and more. Based in West Berlin, N.J., the amusement park features more than 40 attractions designed to delight the young and the young at heart.
Kids can use mini excavators to knock over bowling pins, grab rubber ducks floating on water and dig for treasure. Families can get an idea of what cargo feels like as it is dumped out of the back of a truck while riding the Greased Beast. Rugged Riders gives kids the chance to drive a Kubata RTV-900.
Now with all this hard work, kids will need to wash off. What better way than to head to their water park — The Water Main. Zip down The Pipeline and make a splash at the end. Head to Jackhammer Bay for a splash playground filled with geysers and mini slides. Construction is hard work so take a break and relax while floating down Digger River.
Adults can get on the construction fun with Diggerland XL, an experience designed for 18 years and older. Folks can operate full-size construction equipment in an unrestricted atmosphere with guidance from an instructor via an onsite radio. Packages range from one to three hours, with an optional add on giving you the option to smash a car.
Whatever part you and your family chose to enjoy, you are sure to dig up a lot of fun in the process.
